Questions on toys for my AR

Well, I'm doing things a little weird. I just got my kit from Del-ton and am working on getting a stripped receiver from a FFL. In the meantime, I'm looking to purchase a few things and wanted everyone's advice.

Rail covers? Currently leaning towards Magpul XTs (maybe XTMs), but I'm open to suggestions.

Vertical Grip? Definitely checking out the grip / bipods that are out there. From what I can tell, Grip Pod makes one and Command Arms makes one. Anyone have experience with either of them?

Case? Looking for a bang-for-the-buck case, willing to spend a little bit of money but not too much (definitely under $100, hopefully closer to $50).

Light (w/ mount)? Only thinking about getting one. Don't want to spend a ton of $$ but want some basic level of quality and reliability.

Any other things you guys would reccomend?

Thanks much,

Mr00000

Looks like you have the rails and V-grip handled.
Case? I like soft cases with lots of mag pouches. Way under $100
Light (w/ mount)? I like Inova (I have the T1) and I have it mounted in a KZ offset flashlight mount.

Have you considered BUIS yet?

Yep, my box from Del-ton has the YHM flip-up rear sight just waiting to be put on my upper.

Cool rail covers are check.

As it goes for the vgrip - is there a big difference in the ones made by Grippod or Command Arms?

Thanks for the reccomendation on the light

I don't have any experience with those types of VFGs.

I have a soft case for mine that I got at Sportsman's Warehouse and it was about $35 or so. It holds the rifle exactly like it should.

Welcome from Tucson. What part of town do you live in?

Cool, I'll check out Sportman's. I live on the East side - around Speedway and Pantano.

Rail covers, not much difference. some are soft, some are hard. I like the KAC panels and the ladder style.

Vertical Grip? Definitely checking out the grip / bipods that are out there. From what I can tell, Grip Pod makes one and Command Arms makes one. Anyone have experience with either of them?

I had one of the GPS grip pods. It was great for what is was, but I really didn't care for it as a VFG, you can't get a high hold on it because of the mount design and it just felt way too long for me.
I like the TangoDown VFG and the new LaRue FUG.

Case? Looking for a bang-for-the-buck case, willing to spend a little bit of money but not too much (definitely under $100, hopefully closer to $50).

any case will do for transport

Light (w/ mount)? Only thinking about getting one. Don't want to spend a ton of $$ but want some basic level of quality and reliability.

It is hard to beat a Surefire M951 especially with a CREE LED upgrade

Any other things you guys would reccomend?

Mags, lots of them

Thanks much,

Mr00000
