DIY Carrier Screw Staking
Has anyone done there own staking on the carrier screws of there AR's? I purchased an upper that didn't have the carrier screws staked. I can't imagine that this is a hard thing to do, I am just curious to what tools were used by those that have done this.

Vise, punch, hammer.
I've never done it, but the concept isn't hard to grasp. You want to get the key to deform into the screw head so that it doesn't move. I believe you would want to stake from the side of the carrier, not the top. |

The Pocket (Baby) MOACKS is worth every penny I spent on it. It has made the rounds staking all my keys, and keys for friends.

Neat tool, but I just use a punch and a hammer. Adding Loctite helps too.
