Rookie scope question

Guys,

I was hoping you could help me in adding a scope to my Bushy M4. I have the removable carry handle and would like to mount a scope directly to the flat top with the carry handle removed. My question is will the front sight be in the way if I do this, do I need something that will raise the scope up a little bit? I appreciate any input.

what type of scope are you wanting to put on it. they do sell risers that will raise the scope a tiny bit or you can always remove the front sight and replace it with a low profile gas block and use a flip up sight

once you put the rings on the sight they are also going to raise it up some as well the scope with not sit flat on the rail.

i would try it with out the riser first and if the front sight post gets in your way then try one of the other options.

Anything over 3x magnifacation will make the front sight all but disappear. I can confirm this with my 3x aimpoint setup on my bushie. Its hard to tell from the photo but there is a standard front sight post behind the flashlight. With this setup I can not even see the front sight post, higher magnification will have the same effect.

yes you wont have to remove the front sight. I have a 3-9x scope and it appears the front sight is in the way, but if you look through the scope you wont see anything

I used the high riser scope mount for my nikon buckmasters 3x9.It comes on and off in 10seconds wit two screws to put the rear peep back on.
