We was at the range one day and my buddy needed a rag to clean the dust and crud off his. I knew that he was the one that never had anything with him to clean with. So i brought extra cleaning rags. Old black T shirt for me..... I gave him an old PINK fuzzy rag from one of my grand daughters old bath robes. It took him weeks to get the pink off. Plus weeks of being razzed and winked at by others.

The silicone cloth I got from walmart left little strands all over mine as well, I used a new soft paintbrush to take it off and since then I've used old black cotton socks.

I use an Air compressor...

Canned air will work though not as well.

These all sound like great suggestions. I think I will use an old Tshirt the next time I get around to cleaning everything.

I like the air compressor idea also. Not just for the AR, but for the whole collection. I never know when I am going to go out shooting so I alway over oil everything. I think with the air compressor I could do that and then just blow off the "too much". Its funny because my gun cries when I shoot it... all the oil stuck in the internals starts to come out of every crack in the gun! ha.

That's why I jokingly call my AR "my Harley." If it's not leaking oil, I must not have used enough!
