Man I gotta say that Midway's shipping was faster than a microwave! I ordered late at nite my time and had them in two business days with the cheapest shipping I could select.

I ended up buying some Midwest Industries handguards/rails. For all they are it sure does make you wonder where the $130 is??? But I do know they take time to manufacture and because they are made in the USA I consider it money well spent.

So here's the nit picky part of the post. They are a tight fit. It took my wife and I "several" attempts to get them in. I would suggest that anyone who is going to put in new handguards also buy one of the tools meant for making the job easier. Can't say I used every swear word in my arsenal but I do remember asking myself why I didn't buy the handguard tool! At any rate, the handguards are tight with no movement so that is good. The downside is they seem to fit a bit canted. I tired to mount my EoTech such that it would be partially mounted to the handguard rails but they were always a little bit canted. If I moved the optic back to it's usual place on the receiver then there was no problem. Placing the EoTech all the way on the handguard rails revealed the same cant.

All things considered I am happy with the MI product and would recommend it unless someone is wishing to mount their optic forward of the receiver.

you should never mount an optic on the hand guard rail unless it is a FF rail. JMHO
