I've been using a Leapers 4X20 AR15 scope on mine, its got 100-500 meter Bullet Drop Compensator built in. I bought mine thru Natchez. Its worked well, only prob I ever had was that the screws came off. Just put some of that metal glue on it before zeroing and it will work fine. The link above even has the mil-dot version, but I don't know if I'd really use that.

For the money IMHO you cannot do any better than the DMS-1 and the CAA 1 piece mount. I am very happy with mine, it is easily good out to 400 yards on anything except small varmits. I don't think you are going to be happy with a scope mounted on top of your handle, it leaves your cheek hanging in mid air.

I received my Mueller Tac II scope today. Awesome scope. I've handled some of the other Mueller scopes. The Tac II is way heftier and expensive feeling not to say they are cheap. I think they are a bargain for the money.

Real Guns - Mueller3-10x44mm Tac II

What a fine scope and super bright. For $247 delivered I couldn't be happier. Now I just need my Fulton Armory FAR 15 Predator to mount it on. That should be here in a week or a bit more perhaps.

My friend just bought an Armalite 50 BMG and bought a Hammer Scope as a temporary scope and he really seems to like it.

hows this only $63? I'd probably have to guesstimate another $50 for ring mounts correct? Now if I want to remove the scope and go back to iron sights for fun, do I have to rezero the iron sights. Also if I put the scope back on do I have to rezero the scope. Both assuming I mount it in the exact same position as it was when removed?

Bah, get out there and learn to shoot 200 yards with your iron sights... helluva lot more rewarding than slapping a scope on there

I've actually been doing iron sights at 100 yards, getting pretty good groups on a 1' by 1' target. Maybe within 6" groups i estimate, hopefully thats decent for irons at 100 yards. Most shots land well within the 9 circle, occassionally gettting shots in the circle adjacent to the red center. At 200 yards though, I think that same target will appear too small. I already have problems seeing the red center of the target (2" diameter) at 100 yards. The rest of the target is black and against a black front sight post and its hard to tell where the top of the post is sometimes. Sort of thinking about applying some white out at the top so I can contrast the two.

Im using these, 8" and 12"

If you get some low profile iron sights and pick some scope rings attachments that are high enough, you won't have to worry about rezeroing your irons. You may have to pay some extra if you want to be able to remove the scope and reattach it later without rezeroing. Larue sells a scope mount that is capable of doing that. You can check out their web or go to barnes and noble and look at some gun mags, Shotgun news usually has a whole page for their advertisements.
