Front flip/block or railed block? Pic
Here's what my setup looks like right now. 16" barrel. I want a flip up front sight but I would much prefer to have it pinned. I'm afraid of the screws backing out over time and not noticing it.
What are my options? Would it be better to get a flip sight/block assembly and drilling it for the pins, or should I get a railed gas block and put a front sight on that? I'm trying to keep this under $150 and have a very secure setup. I'm open to all suggestions. Thanks.

I would say go with the railed gas block. That way as your needs or likes change, you are not stuck with the site/gas block combo unit. You can change to a different site if you want to, remove it, etc. If you get one with all 4 sides railed you can also add a laser, light, sling swivel or whatever you want.

That VLTOR looks awesome but it's pretty expensive.
