My thought is "What is a POF?"

I've read a lot of great reviews of their stuff. No first hand experience tho. Price seems about average for piston AR's.

A buddy of mine just bought a $1300 POF upper, and it didnt' run. Would not cycle, wouldn't even eject the spent round. I think he just got it back, but I don't think he's test-fired it yet. Quick turnaround from the factory - out and back in about 2 weeks. I'll ask him on Tuesday if he's gotten it out to the range yet.

As far as quality goes, it looks pretty good and has some kind of rhino-liner on it to help the grip. The front sight is huge and looks odd, but it's probably very durable.

LWRC is the only piston system that is worth anything, imo.

Of course.
But seriously, I did my homework before I bought a LWRC and still read everything I can on the different systems and LWRC comes out on top by a mile. It's self-regulating, short-stroke system is the best IMHO.

ETA; LMT makes a pretty good one as well.
