They are designed as a CQB optic, there is no magnification.

Im talking distance, I thought the distance without a magnifier would be 50yds - 100 yds or could it be farther

While U could probably hit a silhouette at distances greater than 100 yards - it would be tough to make a "group" at that distance.
I have 1 on my PS90. I do all my shooting at 50 yards typically. I can hit the target at 100 yards - but it's spread out pretty well because my eyes cant see good that far out. Now, I could probably hit a big gong or something similar at 150-200 yards - but that's pushing it for 1x optics, IMHO... |

You could always get a quick disconnect mount that holds 0 when removed (LaRue comes to mind) and get a scope for the days you plan on shooting out at further ranges. and save the Eotech for close stuff and Home defense
