FINALLY GOT ONE! CMMG ar-15

Picked it up today from sporting arms in lewisville. Its the 5.56 m4le, i found out it doesn't have chrome lined barrel, but has the WASP protection which they say is "stronger" then chrome- not sure- the rifle feels solid, not loose and I'm very impressed. (if you have more info on WASP, please share!!)
On the flip side- i'm thouroughly impressed with sporting arms- great website and friendly customer service, def if your in north texas, worth checking out for the prices and outstanding customer service! I've been to a ton of stores and gun shows and I get frustrated with the level of service, almost as if they are doing me a favor talking to me.--thanks sporting arms for great service and awesome price!!

I'm about an hour away from them. I've heard nothing but good things about them. It's a family business they run out of their home.

CMMG WASP

as posted on AR15.com

"This is done on a select line we offer to exclusive distributors.

The following is a an info blurb we put out with the rifles...

What is W.A.S.P.?

W.A.S.P., or Weapon Armored Surface Protection, is simply a modern alternative to chrome lining.

W.A.S.P. is a proprietary finish that provides the same durability and ruggedness as chrome lining, but at a fraction of the price.

Additionally, W.A.S.P. not only protects the inside of the barrel, but the outside as well. Its matte black finish does not reflect.

CMMG WA.S.P. corrosion resistance outperforms conventional chrome lining and provides, rugged reliability and durability essential to military grade firearms."

CMMG doesn't sell kits directly, but they do make them for other resellers. One of them is Fire For Effect.

Parts Kits - FFE

My FFE kit arrived Saturday, but I couldn't get my lower from my dealer. I'll pick it up tomorrow.
