What to get after purchase?

No- not another which rifle to get-- i have that, well tomorrow

Thanks to this site and all the info, i was introduced to more choices other then the big names out there- my CMMG is getting delivered tomorrow and i convinced the wife the rifle would cost way more- i have money to add on!!

I'm thinking 500- what would be first on the list? optics will probably be last or my next gift to myself, VFG, tac light, new stock...what would you do other then buying ammo with the "extra" money?

Thanks all for the info, as i lurked until i made my purchase!!

What's the purpose of the rifle?

First thing: I would get a sling of some sort, a few mags, and then ammo.

Personally, and I think many others will echo this as well, I would get mags and tons of ammo. Shoot at least 500 rounds using your iron sights. I have seen people who's red dot goes down at the range and they can't hit $hit with their irons. It isn't that hard, but it is a very valuable skill. Once you have become skilled with irons, then choose and optic and add other accessories to it like sling, railed handguard if you so choose and then more mags and ammo. When choosing optics take into account what kind of shooting you'll be doing mostly like short range or long range. This will tell you what type of optics to get. Many people like the red dots, many don't so there is plenty to choose from whichever the case may be for you. Also invest in a good cleaning solution. I, as well as many others I think, like using the bore snake to clean it. Very easy to use.

But again I will stress to shoot the hell out of it before you get optics. And mostly, enjoy your new rifle. You made a great pick!

It would be nice to know what setup you have and what you intend to use the ridle for to help guide your decision(s). Since we can't mention ammo. Ammo. Oh yeah and mags, I don't know if anyone mentioned that.

Seriously though I'd get a sling for sure. The rest all depends I guess.
