Any experience with Sabre Defence?

Hello all,

I've been looking around at a few different uppers (LMT, CMMG, Noveske) and I saw that Sabre Defence has a positive reputation, if a little pricey. So I'm confused as to the price of this MID-LENGTH upper from PK firearms. Is this legit? Has anyone done business with PK firearms? And how does this particular model stack up as a home defense, SHTF rifle? Thanks once again.

Dave

Looks nice but after you add options you will pay as much as a new rifle complete in some brands.

Also check out CMMG upper assemblies. They are very good quality and cheaper than SD.

True... Adding a RRA BCG and charging handle brings it up to $565 with the comparable CMMG at $525 but I'm willing to pay the difference if the SD has an edge on reliability and/or accuracy. Thoughts?

I don't have one, but a good friend of my is one of their sponsored shooters and they build their competition model to his specs and he has been very happy with them.

Send a message via AIM to suertetres
My only experiance sadly is not getting to the store quick enough to buy the last one- and what i've read about htem- as we all know opinions about guns are well plenty, and I can't recall one negative comment about Sabre- it was my 2nd choice to CMMG and sadly- someone beat me to it at my local cabelas.

The thread "so you think you wanna buy an AR" was orginally posted on officer.com -jwise the poster, updated it there with pictures and a full review- his department got one for t&e- still only good things about it.

I have experience with Sabre and PK Firearms. Both are great. That upper is an excellent choice. Personally I would get it without a BCG and get one from BCM instead.

I don't think I've seen a single negative on Sabre. Good luck

I have a sabre lower receiver. Finish is excellent and all the DPMS LPK parts fit fine.
