Colt AR15 Prices

I am looking for a Colt AR15 with Collapsable Stock and Carry Handle. I would consider used or new. My question is, what should I expect to pay to get the Colt brand name verses the many others?

More.

haha. I think my 6920LE was around $1200ish 3 years ago. I know a lot of the S&W can be had for around $900 today with a $100 mail in rebate.

I see them for $1600 now a days. I myself would not even pay $1300 for one as I can get a Noveske, LMT, or 2 CMMGS's for less than that

Does anyone feel that the Colt brand is worth the extra money. Obviously I believe I do but would like your thoughts.

some would say yes... because of the quality of products they provide.

but some would say no... because you can get the same type of quality for a lower price.

i am building a colt ar-15, but this is a long term project. only buying the parts when i have the extra money for it. but if i was to buy a top end AR-15 and had about $1600.00 to spend, i would buy an LMT and have money left over to buy a red dot and a couple other things.

What about resale value and appreciation value. Will a non Colt brand hold its value as well as the Colt rifle?
