M4C is my least favorite forum...it moves so slowly its not even worth going to for info.

AR15.com is a good site in my honest opinion...ive learned alot more there about AR's than on Xdtalk...but i did get into AR's because of XDtalk.

+1
M4C is a much more laid back atmosphere.

If you like ARFCOM better, good on ya, its your opinion

I partake of the LMT kewlaid so take my words with as much salt as needed for your tastes.

All web forums must be used sparingly. It is your responsibility to filter out the noise, and tune in to the signal.

Every gun related forum has some modicum of useful signal.....if your tuner works well.

AR15.com has a WEALTH of useful info. that being said, i only go there for info....ive learned not to stick around to chit chat.

All you have to do is reply to the posted questions by editing your first post. You don't have to reply by e-mail or I.M.

First of all, nobody likes reading through entire threads to find information that could've simply been updated in the first post by whomever started the thread.

Second, the rule is to protect you, the little guy, from having his thread bumped way down by many companies/persons who have a bunch of listings and try to stay on top!

A forum that big requires rules like that. I just started over at AR15.com and I love it. The rules are there for a reason. If you didn't agree with them, you shouldn't have listed anything there in the first place.

Meh. I dont have so much a problem. I sold my AR in about 30 mins in the EE. Although they did close my thread for a BS reason, my purpose for the forum was over with.

agree 123%!!!!

All the guys over there are trying to sell you something. They try to gang up on you and when they can't, they go for the personal attacks, me not being good at avoiding traps, go along then next thing you know I am banned from there too. I basically told all the juice drinkers that the $2000 S&B Short Dot is not better than the IOR or Nightforce at half the price. Ofcourse this was bad bad bad as it did not help there S$B sales.

It also annoys me that I cannot subscribe to threads and receive an email reply. Maybe I'm just missing something...

The rules to manage a small forum are different on large forums. Just like small towns vs. metro areas. XDTalk is still a small town but it will grow and will have to impose similar restrictions too.
