First AR build
My first AR, decided to piece it together. Here she is, complete... just trying to decide on which scope to get. Ordered webbing and what not to make a sling, won't be my first time since I was a flight e / rigger.
Build is as follows: Superior Arms lower with set-screw (trigger is GREAT), DPMS LPK, CAA CBS assy. WOA upper, BCM BCG, RRA/Wilson 16" stainless mid-length barrel, 1/8, Wylde chamber, f-marked FSB, a2 hider, MI SPLP rear flip BUIS, YHM lightweight FFR, Magpul covers and mags. I used Wolf M193 and put about 150 rounds down range. 100yd accuracy resulted in 4" 6-shot groups. The target you see is a result of a rushed one breath/one shot (rapid-fire) string of fire before the range closed. Overall I am very happy and I can't wait to see what this thing can do with good ammo and good glass. Lots of compliments at the range. Without further delay: Overall: Love the balance of the rifle, colors/fit match up great. The rear sight sits real low. Ejects hard.Glad to say I wouldn't have changed anything in the build now that it's done. Had one FTF but it was the ammo's fault. Also shot a hand me down Savage 110 in .308 for the first time, rifle is very old and hasn't been shot in forever yet held a zero after some adjustment. Also shot my buddies' 30-30 winchester and some dudes' CZ .17 HMR. Didn't shoot the XD today. Last edited by xdmarz : 05-05-2008 at 02:05 AM. Reason: fix pics |
