It may be stronger, I've never seen a conclusive arguement one way or the other, and there have been many multi page threads on AR15.com about this subject. In all reality, there probably isn't a real big difference, strength wise. The main advantage of the "milspec" extension is a wider variety of stock options, as more companies make stocks for the milspec tubes, than not. You don't need an H buffer.
