Last count is 10, and 4 complete uppers.........I missed a few the last time you asked for a count

I need to make a list and have a sale of all my "spare" parts that keep turning into complete rifles.

I'm not even finished getting my first build the way I want it. I'm probably going to build a simple and reliable to go with a somewhat tricked out rifle.

not trying to highjack this thread but...

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY COMMANDER! and Jeep...

Since I've had my license, I've always driven german cars; VW, BMW and MB's. I gave those up when my son was born. As he got older his hobbies grew. So I needed something that could lug all his stuff and mine. I shopped around. Thought about the Toureg, X5 and wasn't even going to touch an MB SUV (thumbs down). So I started looking at other options in the SUV or pick up truck category. Ford F150 Dual Cab, Nissan Titan, Toyota Thundra... etc. etc. Nothing really caught my fancy. One day for poops and giggles I thought I'd look at the Wrangler Unlimited. WANTED IT! But when I went in the show room I saw my Commander sitting there, just winking at me! Got them to knock off close to 12 grand off sticker price and add in some stuff for free and I was out the door! My son loves it b/c of the DVD player in the back. I love it b/c it's mean looking and classy and can get down and dirty if need be! I wanted the HEMI, but I bought the next level down.

Now, I'm thinking I should get a Wrangler Unlimited b/c every time I see one passing me by... I get envious and my commander feels lonely in the driveway. So at the moment it's just a thought and I'm able to keep the compulsive DNA at bay... I've come close though, the sales person that I bought my Commander from even offered me a great deal on a 07 Rubicon that only had 3200 miles on it (it was a demo).... But, not right now, if it was meant to be, I'll have one some day.

So, with that said.... GET IT! Only thing you have to think about is gas. My work is only 10 miles away (to and from) from where I live so that wasn't an issue for me. But for a V8 3.7L, I'm getting 19-21mpg (city). Sucks, but not too bad for a big vehicle. I did the commute from Northern VA down to Myrtle Beach in NC. Only filled up 2x with half a tank left when I got into town.

Next AR buy/build will likely be either a 45 acp or possibly a 50 Beowulf. I've really not decided yet.

I expect if they ever start a black bear season here I would want to hunt with the Beowulf under 200 yards. If I can't swing for the 50 at the time, I'll just use my old 30-06.

For protecting the fort, it's hard to beat a good ole' 45 with 30 round straight mags.
