The AR15/M16 headspaces in the barrel extension, not how the barrel is secured into the upper. So, if you get a "matched" bolt & barrel you are pretty much good to go unless your supplier didn't actually check headspace.
The procedure if you have a headspace problem is to try different bolts until you get an acceptable match. The barrel extension is a real bear, you do not want to try "adjusting" headspace by changing a barrel extension. It also seems that most people have no problem with changing barrels and using their existing bolt, altho' as I said a barrel/bolt combo is the easiest way to go. If you are in doubt, headspace gauges are pretty inexpensive and easy to use. |

I use a vice and 2x4's, with foam blocks between the 2x4's for my barrel install/uninstall. Has worked out great.

I don't get on here a lot but I'll chime in. I love my AA lower. My FFL said it was one of the nicest finished ones he has seen. John is a great guy to deal with and always gave me fast replies. My lower is below.
