My barrel came headspaces "standard" but you can go to any smith in town and have it double checked (should). The freefloat tube is easy to put on, someone on this board was nice enough to send me the tool and I paid shipping, returned it when I was done. I wont post his name but if you advertise to borrow one, someone will surely step forward.

Theres some great folks on here!

The AR15/M16 headspaces in the barrel extension, not how the barrel is secured into the upper. So, if you get a "matched" bolt & barrel you are pretty much good to go unless your supplier didn't actually check headspace.
The procedure if you have a headspace problem is to try different bolts until you get an acceptable match. The barrel extension is a real bear, you do not want to try "adjusting" headspace by changing a barrel extension.
It also seems that most people have no problem with changing barrels and using their existing bolt, altho' as I said a barrel/bolt combo is the easiest way to go.
If you are in doubt, headspace gauges are pretty inexpensive and easy to use.

I use a vice and 2x4's, with foam blocks between the 2x4's for my barrel install/uninstall. Has worked out great.

I don't get on here a lot but I'll chime in. I love my AA lower. My FFL said it was one of the nicest finished ones he has seen. John is a great guy to deal with and always gave me fast replies. My lower is below.
