thinking about buying my first AR

does this look like a good choice? I read through the link in the sticky and the author seems to like CMMG. They have a lot of nice features and for a brand new rifle this price is pretty hard to beat. What do you all think?

It will be used as a combination HD/plinking/SHTF rifle.

TIA!

I've been shopping for months now and I've read nothing but good things about CMMG.

I think the price looks good for a new, non bargain bin CMMG. I've also heard nothing but good things about them.

Another note, it's a flat top with a BUIS/IS already on it, saves $80-$100 from having to add this and remove the carry handle to put in a drawer when you want to add optics on the flat top.

yep, that was another selling point for me on this particular rifle.

thanks for all the responses so far. I will most likely be making the purchase today.
