Which red dot sights do not require risers?

Which red dot sights can I just mount directly to a flat top without requiring additional hardware?

NO sure if this falls under red-dot but it is a excellent CQB sight. Almost any eotech will give you a 1/2 or lower 1/3 cowitness on a flat top AR. They also comes with all the mounting hardware. Aimpoint m4 will also do the job.

not sure about this, but aren't most red dot sights used for close quarter combat?

i also believe that the EOTech does come with the mounting brackets you need to mount directly to your flat top, and apparently if mounted directly to your flat top w/o a riser, you can have an absolute co-witness.

i have a mini-red-dot that also came with mounting brackets for mounting on a rail/flat top, so i'm guessing any of the mini red dots out there now do come with some form of mounting solution.

aimpoints make great red dots, but not all aimpoints come with any mounting hardware. the m4 is awesome, and it's also pricey. but, it does come with a mount. in my opinion, anything above the $400 dollar range should automatically come with mounting hardware...

Thanks. This is helping me justify the cost of an EOTech or Bushnell.

I like the eotech a lot and highly recomend it. I slapped it on my flattop up and just had to slightly adjust the elevation for co-witness. I love the fast target aquisition, the fact I can somehow use it efficiently with my right eye even though I am left eye dominant, and I can leave both eyes open. Unfortunetly I cannot co-witness my eotech with the sights anymore because my vltor casv-el handgaurd puts it to high. But the eotech now wears the gg&g accucam do-hicky so I can ditch it in a pinch if it dies.
