Bushmaster price check please

I'm taking a look tomorrow at a fully assembled Bushmaster. Let me first state that this would be my first venture into the Black Rifle and I really don't want to get in to building one until I have more experience with them. Below is $950 FTF. Too much, too little, just right?

BUSHMASTER AR-15 M4 STYLE (NIB) COMES WITH FACTORY HARD CASE, PAPERS, ONE 30-RD MAG, REMOVABLE A3 STYLE CARRY HANDLE, A2 SIGHTS, RETRACTABLE STOCK, M4 UPPER RECEIVER & BARREL CONTOUR

Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks.

You can get one new for that much. I have seen them online for $850 new for the M4A3 (flat top with carry handle).

dont worry about building one if you buy a compleated upper and compleated lower and look around for good deals you can save quite a bit.
to me that price seems high but ive never bought a compleated rifle.
one really good thing about buying the two halves is you can skimp on the lower and put that money into a really good upper wwhich is the most important part.

Also a complete rifle has some kind of excise tax that is already included in the price, where you will pay about 10% more. If you buy the complete lower, and the complete upper you basically have a complete weapon and you avoid that tax.

Thanks all for the input so far. I really do appreciate it.

I decided to go the fully assembled, warrantied, taxed etc...route on this first one just because of my inexperience with ARs. This is not yet an area that I want to experiment in. I'm sure, based on all I've read, that this would not be the last purchase once I've been bitten by the bug.

After I learn more about them I'll be ready to branch out some. Keeping it safe and trying to know my limitations this first go round.

Any other input is still very welcome.

This one is brand new. Below is a pic. I would not be paying shipping and FFL at $950 so that ought to cut $50-$60 or so off of any online pricing. Not a done deal by any means but just wanted to know if this was too much with all considerations for this rifle.

If that's used, and not at a gun shop, it's about 150-200 bucks too high.
I'd pay that much for a Bushmaster, but not THAT one.

If it is $950 OTD then that is not a bad price. I myself would not sweat over $50 here and there, go shoot it and enjoy.
