My first was new from a gun show dealer. I build all of them now.

I got mine from an 8 yr. old kid in Pakistan. Oh wait, that was the AK.

Gunbroker for two rifles: a HK copy, and a Gas Piston Bushy upper and eventually the lower and parts it went with.

One member on this forum i bought a 9mm Tac XD from.

A gunstore i got a Armalite Mid-length from, as well as a 9mm Service XD.

1st one from a store 45minutes away from me.
2nd one from a local dealer (traded in my first one)
3rd one was a lower a gun show (sold it when i was in debit)
4th one was from a friend.

Got my Rock River Arms 9mm from Pete at Legal Transfers, LLC.

Got my .223 AR from Del-Ton (kit), and my lower reciever from Dave at Donley's Gunshop.

I got my stag stripped recever and the 2H complete upper from a local shop 5 min from my house, the trigger kit and grip came from del-ton over all I have under 700 into it and a second recever I got from him to build yet.

You can only hope the unfortunate, screwed up love child would take themselves out of the gene pool when they discover electrical outlets and butter knives or start huffing paint when they're 7 or 8 but every once in a while a truly magnificent specimen makes it to adulthood to display for the world just how freaking stupid they really are.
