Brownells Introduces AR-15/M16 Magazines with Pre-Installed Accessories

November 14, 2007

Expanding its offerings of AR-15/M16 magazines, Brownells® introduces its new 30-round Tactical and Competition (TAC) Mag (stock no. 080-000-489) with two proven tactical accessories already installed; a Magpul® Self-Leveling Follower and Magpul's Ranger® floorplate.

In announcing the new magazines, Pete Brownell, company vice president, said, "Reliability and speed are key factors that must be considered for all equipment used in tactical situations and competition. We started with our dependable high-capacity magazines, and then included the most popular add-ons for those who want to 'go fast.' And like everything Brownells sells, if a customer isn't absolutely 100 percent satisfied, they can return the magazine for a full refund."

The follower is designed not to tilt as rounds are being loaded and is impregnated with self-lubricating Teflon to ensure smooth movement for easy loading.

The Ranger floorplate's easy-to-grasp finger loop helps shooters pull it out of the magazine quickly. Plus, it works as a mono-pod for prone shooting. The stainless steel floorplate is overmolded with Santoprene synthetic rubber to cushion the TAC Mag when dropped on hard surfaces.

The aluminum-bodied TAC Mag is available in either Military Gray or SOCOM Tan and has a hard-anodized, dry-lube coating. It also features chrome silicon springs that prevent the magazine from "taking a set."

Brownells is the world's largest supplier of firearm parts, tools, equipment and accessories. Stocking more than 30,000 items, the company services gunsmiths, armorers and shooters worldwide. For more information or to place an order, call (800) 741-0015, Dept. #PBF, or visit http://www.brownells.com.
