Hk Reverses Decision Of No Civilian 416/417 Sales!

the current blowback system is not too bad because its being used right now by our troops..some people act like if you shoot the AR twice it gets gunky..unless your in a "combat" situation your not going to get it too dirty to run..come on people!!! i dont even see a cop in a running gun battle getting it too fouled to function..

H&K has burned alot of bridges with the "gun" crowed with thier civie sales or lack there of.

and lets not forget the XCR the MASSADA , and the AXR also i believe ,and the scar and bushmaster ,DSA.and the other small companys doing the gas piston. lots of players in the game ..if they want to get somewhere they better sale these halfway cheap and with some other perks....but im sure somepeople will buy it just for the h and k stamped on the side

the 416 and 417 (far more interesting to me than the 416) are good pieces of gear, I just wanted that put out there up front..

HK Screwed the pooch with me just as bad as S&W did. The US Civilian market has been as good to HK as any government and they thumb their noses at us? I don't give a **** if God himself stepped down from on high for a few minutes to help HK develop anything. Just because Mr. Vickers helped with some of the R&D doesn't mean that HK's business practices are excused.

POF, XCR, LWRC, FN and MagPul are more than filling the void that HK created by their own choices. I'll go ahead and support the companies that support me.

Guess my moral standing isn't laying down as far as it use to.. money talks and bull **** walks.. HK can take a hike

I'll have a Masada and I'll have either a POF or LWRC as well. But I will not own another HK just because it's HK and just because the Military got a good deal on the ones they are purchasing. Good for the guys in SOCOM that have the separate funding and purchasing mechanisms. I'm glad they are able to get a good upper for their weapons. But to say I'll get what they are using just to get what they are using won't happen.

Many people are pissed at HK because in the past they have ignored the civilian market with anything other than handguns. They are some what arrogant, and their customer service stinks from what I'm told. Sign me up for a Masada. Free Porn, just click here!

H&K makes some of the worlds finest if not overengineered firearms, However their pricing puts them out of the reach of people or agencies without big budgets. If I were in a situation where I could carry a patrol carbine I would definately be in the market for at least a 416 upper however the dept I work for doesn't believe that they are needed so I'll be perfectly happy with my personal Armalite M15 A4 midlength carbine untill we become more enlightened or I find another job.

The SCAR for me. if it goes on sale, im guessing it will be around $2000 (i hope not too much more) but i will sell just about everything i have (plus maybe half of my sould for 10 year loan) to get one.

Not to nit pick by the current system on the AR is a direct gas not blow back. Blowback operation is a recoil operation used commonly on lower powered pistol caliber submachine guns and in pocket pistols. I am also happy with my current Colt but I will take any edge I can get. If I can get a weapon that runs longer between cleanings I will buy it.
