Actually I probably made a bad choice of titles. I really only wanted opinions on the SPOT vs the Bushnell MP because both have actually got decent reviews on ARF.com.
I am FULLY aware that there is ALOT of crap out there. If I wanted crap I would spend $50-60 on a piece of crap. However, I want a mid-grade that has had decent reviews for the $150-$165 range.
If we all bought the best available, we'd all be shooting HK's, Kimbers and Colts, but most here went mid-grade and bought an XD.
I know there are "better" choices than the two I asked about, but as someone else said, I am a paper puncher and not out to use my scope to save the planet.
Carry on!

It was the one from 1337 tactical. I did end up keeping the mount though. I still don't think the clones hold a candle to the real deal. Not bashing your choice, just adding my personal experience to the mix.

And theres nothing wrong with that. Just know that when you post on a forum, people are gonna give their personal views. Just like if I ask about buying a Honda Civic, some one will eventually chime in and say buy a Lexus instead.

I have a M4A3 with the removable carry handle. If I brought one of these red dots, either the SPOT or the Bushnell would I need any other pieces IE mounts?

+1
Hell yeah. Im still pissed about the $60-$70 that I spent on the 1337 clone that I could have just put towards the real deal. Nothing burns me up more than pissing away money.

You made a liar out of me, I have more to say....It's apparent that the posters in this thread who want a bargain red-dot are going to get one regardless of what others say because of it's value-to-quality ratio. I know a few of you see no quality but there is...

My first post to your thread was that I'd go with the SPOT MkIII
as the "cheapest" RDS. The it all went to heck in a handbasket.
