Aimshot HG-D1 Multi Dot Holographic Sight

looking at putting a cheap holo sight on my new rifle i know eotec makes excellent sights but since this is going to be a beater rifle that will likely stay in the trunk i am not sure i want to put $400 optics on it. ive been looking and for $139 i can put this aim shot on it which looks like an eotec clone. ive done some searching and I can't find anything negative about which is kinda reassuring as most most people that post are bitching or griping

the battery life on it does not seem very long and its not water proof like the eotec but lets be real i'm not looking to submerge the thing

has anyone here had any experience with these sights either good or bad

for $139 im seriously thinking about it.

Well after it craps out after bouncing around in your trunk, you'll wish you'd saved a bit longer and bought the real thing.

I've seen nice used Eotechs and Aimpoints for under 300 on the ar15.com EE

Buy nice or buy twice

supposedly its suppose to be pretty well made. from the looks of it its big draw backs are the 10 hrs you get from the batteries and it not being water resistant like.

ive never been one of the big name people that believes that a name makes a product worth more. while you get what you pay for does tend to ring true in most cases i dont mind taking a risk on another product from a company thats been around for 10 years and warranties their product for 5 years.

That ACOG-replica looks pretty slick, TJ. Price is right too!

Sorry, I don't know the first thing about scopes, but does that 1x32 mean it's non-magnified? Is the 32 the visible FOV or some sort of MOA radius?

me neither. i wish i could find these both local so i could try them both out see which one i like the best and return the other, im definitely leaning toward the Bushnell now.

I think I'm going to head over to sportsman's warehouse this weekend and see what they have. I can always open a sportsman's warehouse credit line and say charge it. so long as i can pay it off in 90 days it would be the same as paying cash actually even better as i think you get 15% off for opening the account.

Just picked one up this past weekend at a local gun show. So far... I'm liking it!

Right - 1x means the image is non-magnified. 32 is the size of the front (objective) lens in mm. Just like with a scope - a 3-9x40mm scope has variable magnification from 3 to 9x and has an objective lens of 40mm.
