Cleaning Chrome-Lined Barrels

I know they say you shouldn't, but it goes against everything I do with my other guns.

Bout every 500 rounds or so I run a brush and a little solvent through it, but I still feel like I should clean it thoroughly after each use.

What does everyone else do here and how often??

I was cleaning mine with CLP and a brush (or bore snake) after every outing.
They say you shouldn't?

Guess I must be dreaming. Thought I read that on AR15.com that too much cleaning if chrome-lined barrels would shorten barrel life and you didn't need to clean unless the accuracy started to suffer.

So I am good with Hoppes and a bronze bore brush after each shooting session??

I use a BoreSnake myself, but a bronze brush works all the same.

Chrome is very hard. You might be thinking of the stainless steel barrels.
