chopping your carrying handle?

Now I'm thinking about chopping my carry handle. I only got the carry handle so I'd have a rear sight, but I always wanted more of a buis.

The whole build just changed, this is the LMT upper I posted about a few weeks ago. Have a LMT buis on the way for it to go with the Aimpoint but now that buis won't work with the ACOG.

Like I said, you make more than I do I wouldn't mind an ACOG, just can't bring myself to spend more on the optic than the rifle!!!!!!! Though I'd like to hear what the eye relief actually ends up being on that setup once you have it rigged.

Well according to the spec eye relief is 1.4 inches
Will report on that when it gets here.

OK back to the original question.

For me it depends on what type of optic this BUIS is going behind.

For a red dot type (aimpoint) that is either absolute or lower 1/3 co-witness, Yes I like them

For an Eotech, no...the reticle is too large. With the Eo I like a fold down.

Behind a magnified scope, no again....fold down.
