Magpulls are great but HK's feed smoother and have not had 3 product recalls in the last 6 months like Magpull has. I like my magpulls as range mags, but I use HK mags for duty still.

I've never had a problem with Botach. Generally I have my order in hand before my CC is charged.

I haven't used HK mags so I can't speak about the quality of them. For me the price of them alone is a deal breaker.

Pmags on the other hand will likely be the mags I purchase from now on. Price is on par (nearly) with USGI, and you need not worry about storing loaded mags bending your feed lips, breaking welds, etc.

Just my .02 on it.

Actually with Pmags you need to use the plastic magazine cap if you keep your mags loaded for long periods. If you don't the feed lips will spread.

Yes, that is correct. I didn't figure that needed to be mentioned as it seemed (to me anyway) to be a no brainer. The magazine body itself states that.

Got a tier chart for mags? lol.

Its also a potential disadvantage as metal mags do not have near the problem with lips spreading.

Naw they just bend upward if stored loaded to long, making it a PITA to lock into the mag-well; making them less than reliable.

To each their own though. My mag purchases will go toward PMAG.

Steel mags have much less of a problem with this than aluminum. I keep my HK mags loaded for duty and they have been loaded now for a little over 2 years. They are only unloaded when they are being used.

I like PMags but I am a bit irritated with having to go through 3 product recalls in the last 6 months. That plus the fact the newest batch is a tight fit in my Colt and will not drop out freely. They need to get it right. Until they do PMags are just range mags for me.

Yeah, my PMAG's don't drop as smoothly as aluminum, or steel ones do. I'm fairly certain my "metal" mags are aluminum, so I may not encounter the lip issue with steel mags.

But I'm not LEO, or in the military anymore so my life isn't continually dependent on what type of mags I'm running. My use is for range/plinking/HD/SHTF type scenarios.
