It finally arrived
Here is my new AR. It is a RRA CAR-A4 upper with 16" chrome lined barrel. The lower is a spike's tactical lower with 6 position tactical stock. I also got the ARMS #40L BUIS and a hogue grip. I haven't gotten to shoot it yet, but hopefully will very soon. The fit and finish of the upper and lower are very nice. The bcg isn't staked very well so I'll try to get that done soon. However, the upper does have M4 feed ramps. How good they are done, I am not sure, but they look much better than some I have seen.
I am going to go with BUIS for awhile and learn to shoot it using them, then I'll decide on optics. I would also like to put a railed forearm on it eventually with a vertical foregrip. ![]() |

Congrats! You should be able to hit pretty good with the Iron's out to 300m.. Looks like you've got the PMag action going on too. Nicely selected!

I am thinking about the Midwest Industries rails. They are 2 piece which is fine, I don't need free float.

For the same price as the SF rails (which I have and do indeed like) you can get the MI FF Rails (again which I have on two rifles and do like, but they are a bit heavy) and the installation takes about 20 minutes if you have a Dremel.

The only surefire rails I have seen are a lot more than the Midwest Industries rails. Got a good source on them?

The Surefire rails I had on my RRA were ~$200.
