Broke AR! (kinda)
Was shooting my model 1 build AR yesterday. My dust cover started flapping around. The rod that holds dust cover to upper slid forward. The spring that holds the dust cover open some how both ends ended up on the outside(if that makes sense).
my question is if i just flip the spring back around so it has tension again against the upper will the rod stay in place. Or am i missing some parts? I could not find pictures of a build that coverd dust cover installation or I would look for myself.

the clip is still in place. the end of the rod near the barrel tube is bent a little.
I think the spring just got flipped around some how.
