Why oh why haven't I been saving my $$. Anybody know how long this offer is going to be good? At this price, I can't imagine it will be long.

Well guys I really don't know much about ARs. Should I bite on this deal? What kind of advice can you guys give a newbie.

You can get a 16" CAR kit from Model 1 for $460, and you can get a $100 lower just about anywhere so if you have the minimal capabilities needed to build one yourself, you can have a brand new one for the same money.

Then again, if you're looking for a last-ditch gun, one you're leaving in the truck or burying with a few cases of ammo and you can't (or don't want to) build one yourself, it would be hard to buy one for less $$.

I emailed them to see what twist rate in the barrel and if they are all flat tops. I think that I just found a new beater ar. How is CMMG quality? Total crap or good for the price?

I am trying to save up for a M4 upper and these are very tempting. Hope I can make myself pass so I can get my upper.
