Delivery guys reaction to my M4.
So the guys show up with my new couch this morning. In an attempt to vacuum my carpet before they set up, I forget my guns are out. So they knock and I open up for them, they then begin bringing the couch in. So my M4 is resting vertical on the wall. As they swing the couch around, one guy says " is that a real M4 ". I reply that yes it is. He goes " those are sweet, we used those in Iraq. Ours had the ACOG on it " Mean while the other guy looks really nervous, and is the first one to dart out the door after they set the couch where I want it. I asked how he liked the ACOG, then we discussed how we both preferred the Aimpoint. I had a couple other pistols laying near the M4 by the way. So me and him are left after the other guy bolts. We talk rifles for a bit, and he tells me they(Levine Furniture) are hiring and pay well if I'm interested. He then tells me how they went door to door in Iraq, and how he really liked the M4 when he was over there.
All in all an interesting and positive experience. |

From the way you started out I didn't think this story was going to be good. Well, I thought it might be really funny at least.

In your town, I wouldnt think seeing an AR in the corner would be a big suprise. That city is like a war zone, kind of like parts of Dayton.

It really wasn't his M4 in the corner that freaked out the delivery guy.
I was the girl bound and gagged in the bedroom. LOL!!! ROFLMAO!!!

Reply back and let us know when someone robs your place while you're away at work and steals your guns. I mean... now that two people who are completely unrelated to you as either friend or family know what firearms you have in your apartment.
I always keep my crap locked up and out of eyesight when strangers or mere acquaintances are around. Always.

I spent a weekend in Cleveland once with a couple friends (I have a friend that lives there and invited us out). The weather wasn't great, so maybe that has something to do with it, but the city seemed relatively dead. It was kind of spooky walking around downtown... you felt alone.
Maybe it was just a bad day. It was very cold and rainy. Nevertheless it was interesting comparing it to Philadelphia. Here, rain or shine, the city is alive and bustling with people all days of the week. In Cleveland, I felt like I needed a CCW more than ever. I don't know maybe it's because I wasn't from around there. It's interesting that I felt that way considering Philadelphia tops the charts for violence. It is in the top-10 of America's most crime-ridden cities, and nearby Camden, NJ was #1 last year I think. Last edited by XDAndMe; 10-02-2007 at 07:14 PM. |
