stainless ar

does anybody make a stainless lower and upper i think it might look cool.
i know they make barrels but i would like a whole stainless one

i do really like this im not concerend with the recoil but i also dont care about the weight i just thought a stainless ar would be cool. i guess i could get one hard cromed

or what about a "brushed alluminum" reciever with somesort of clear coat on top but i dont think the clear coat would even bee that nesisary since alluminum oxidizes into a harder material

I had an original Colt SP1 in the factory electroless nickel finish. It looked a little like a bead blasted stainless gun. It is a fairly inexpensive finish which can be applied by a hobby gunsmith with a tank, heater, and agitator...no electroplating required (hence the "electroless" moniker). When applied to a polished firearm, the nickel is pretty bright. When applied to a gun with a rough finish (bead-blasted or sanded with medium grit wet-or-dry), the nickel will appear matte.

There's a 20th Anniversary DPMS Panther available with a Chrome Lower & Upper if that's your thing. A few places stock them, so look around.
