As long as you don't add in an auto sear, it can never be a machinegun..... no matter how many M-16 trigger parts you add.

Most available modern AR-15 lowers have a boss area that prevents normal addition of the auto sear.

My Colt carbine has an LE/Mil only engraved on the lower. However, although it has an M-16 carrier, it can't be have an auto sear without grinding out the lower.

I wouldn't want anything even remotely resembling full auto....ammo is expensive enough!

That being said IMO...if "they" was to find an "excuse" to come confiscate weapons....they'd come after the really "evil" ones first...black and machine gun type parts...oh man look out. Sorry I'm kinda the half lit guy today...trust no one! Especially those guys in the black outfits.

The stance of the BATFE is that if it's worth owning, they'll screw you for it some day. If not today, definitely tomorrow.
