.22 conversion

Was out shopping for a Springfield Armory G.I. .45 when I stumbled over a .22 conversion for an AR 15 new in box for $139.99. I grabbed it as I have been trying to order one from Cheaper Than Dirt for a while but them never have 'em in stock. I have heard alot fo good and more than enough bad things about them, but it seems to fit nicely in the upper reciever and after chambering a bunch of dumy and live rounds, extract and eject nicely. Tomorrow will be the real test as I head to an indoor range. I will post an update!

I've been use on for about a year it's pretty accurate and in over 1000 rounds I've shot I've only had 2 ftfs.

I like to run it heavy but then again I do the same with my 5.56 bolt carrier. The two times I've had FTF have been when I've used the kit and have not cleaned it for several sessions. If your getting the Cienier kit and they started making non-Cienier 30rnd mags that work with the kit for $30.00.

+1 my dad, agalindo, bought me one for christmas and it is accurate and reliable. i hardly clean mine and it eventually leads to FTE's other than operator neglect ,from not cleaning it after each session, its worth it. mine has over 2k rounds and i have 6 boxes of federal 550 packs looking me in the face.

WOW! Just got back from the range. I have a crap load of .22LR that a buddy gave me, and managed a range trip with my AR for under $10. It ate everything I fed it, about 200 rounds, without a hick-up. It sounded pretty cool and was fun to fire rapidly. Very cool! A Black Dog 30 rounder is deffenitely in my future. The cheap range trip turned expensive though when I made a semi stupid choice I think... Did something stupid today...

The ciener kit is some of the best money Ive spend on my ar hobby. Get some BDM mags also as they work great. I was a beta tester for the full body 30rd mag and it looks and works awesome. No FTE out of 550rds although my old style skinny one would do it during rapid fire and ever 15 or so shots.
