Love 'em both. It's sort of like a Chevy vs Ford kinda thing. AI is especially excellent in the prone position. I also like it because there is no need to bed the action. McMillan is robust and is also an overall great stock for any position.
But if I had to pick between an AI and a McMillan, I would probably pick the McMillan A5 stock. |

that WAS a 7.3" CMMG upper
fun but L O U D ! sold it, got an 11.5" POF gas piston upper comin' the .223 'needs' to fragment, and that it can't do that past 20 yrds or so outta that little barrel...room gun, perfect, anything needed for 50 or more yards and you better have 10-11" minimum to properly fragment a .223 |

The ATF has had my Form 1 for about 10 days - I can't flipping WAIT! Turnaround time has been averaging about a month, so hopefully they keep it up with mine!

Damn, I did the math on building my upper: between $1041 and $1202 before shipping parts and tax and the $200 tax stamp. OUCH!

don't build one.
just contact POF and order your gas piston upper from them. it's the absolute best upper money can buy, trust me on that. Be prepared to wait a few 13-15 weeks though. |
