I decided to build myself a bench shooter for out to a couple hundred yards.

I've got a (desperately needed) Larue cheek riser coming. Eventually it will get BUIS and a BCM lefty Gunfighter charging handle whenever they are released this summer. I also need to rig up a way to mount a 2 point sling with QD attachments. Other than that, it's pretty much done for the time being.

It shoots nice. My biggest problem is with cheek weld and trigger pull but those things are not the fault of the rifle. I just need more range time.

I noticed your AFG is run far foreward and you have a comped AR. Do you ever have any problems with flames or gasses burning your hand? Im afraid to run my hand that close to my comp.

When i 1st started shooting it YES. But when it is shooting out flames you learn very very quickly where NOT to put your hands.
Now it does not phase me at all.
and that is where i am most comfortable shooting this AR
