Nice setup. I built an M4 for my son using a Model1 kit. He's never had any problems with it and he shoots it a bunch.

I had a 20" bull barrel and it was very heavy to haul around the woods/fields. At the last fun show I picked up a 16" bull barrel and it seemed a lot lighter - I think that will be my next AR project.

That sounds pretty close to what I would go with if I had it to do over again (some kind of heavy midlength 16" stainless barrel, 1-8" twist or faster).

A 1in9" is more flexible as it will handle everything from 55-75grains while the 1in8" or 1in7" are mostly for 69 grain and up the HB 1in8" Armalite upper I have shoots the Sierra 69 grain btm bullets into 1.5" at 200 yds.

Yeah, well, I didn't handload when I bought my AR 15, and I bought an 1-9" for just that reason. Now I rarely touch anything less than 60 gr., so the high end is what is restricting me. 1-8" would be perfect for me now, but its a little less common twist, so picking and choosing profiles, gas systems, and materials becomes problematic.

The barrel is an ER Shaw extra heavy barrel, I am having it fluted.

Hopfully i will get great accuracy out of this.

My plan is to put on a Bushnell Elite 4200 or 3200.

The 3200 is what I have on my 20" support rifle, fantastic optic for a great price. Another option is the SuperSniper 10x or 16x. There are better optics for variable mag when you look at the 4200. No target knobs for the 4200, making it a PITA to adjust quickly. Still fairly clear glass just like the 3200, but there are better options at that price point.
