I'll say it again (the dozen or so other threads are way down on the list now) if you think you can beat Pete's (www.ar15sales.com) price, tell me where and I'll start shopping there, but Pete's prices aren't to be beat and the customer service is a Standard for which all others should try their best to emulate.

Just to let you know I am building an AR right now and did some shopping around and couldn't beat his prices. Excellent customer service as well! |

I was going to order one from Del-Ton, but called Pete on a whim and I must say he has great prices and doesn't jerk you around at all. Next payday, Pete's getting an order from me.

"After using various M-16s with the 1/7 NATO twist for several years I am very satisfied with the performance, so why would someone choose to fire 5.56mm ammo through a 20 in. barrel in any other twist ? Is it due to firing .223 vs. 5.56?"
Accuracy.. plain and simple. The longer the barrel, the better the accuracy (98% of the time and all things being equal). Lord knows I spent enough time with my A2 embarrassing plenty of 11B's at the range It's great to see others pipe in about AR15SALES.COM! For me, I knew what I wanted when I talked to Pete. I would like to think I know a fair bit about the AR platform, but it's always refreshing to be able to talk to Pete, Paul at BravoCompanyUSA and Calvin at BrightFlashlights... I always learn something when I make the time to spend 15-20 minutes on the phone with those guys, and their customer service is hard to beat anywhere, online or not!!! Gawd I hope they all don't show up in Denver at the same time... don't know that I could afford that beer tab
