Possible AR setup

I like the Idea of getting a Rock River Arms Complete lower half/one stage trigger/six position CAR stock, and mating it to a LWRC CP upper. Any idea as to if this is a good idea? I really like the idea of the Gas piston, and I here alot of good things about RRA so I fugured I would mate the two and get the best of both worlds.

Looks like good stuff, but aren't they just a tad proud of their product... uppers STARTING at $1400.

Until now I had not heard of these guys, that obviously doesn't mean much. Other options I'd suggest you at least research would be POF and the XCR. Both are going to be right about the same cost for the whole rifle and in some cases more features for less.

Just an option, but to answer your question, it sounds like a fair combination if you want to drop that kinda cash. Then again you might consider just getting a whole rifle from them. Price wise, if you take out the $1400-$1600 just for the upper, their lower assemblies appear to use fairly high quality add ons like MagPul stocks and so on.

never heard of them either.

Have you looked at the POF rifles. i'd say dont' mix and match and just go pof lower plus pof upper.

http://www.lanworldinc.com/Uppers.htm has really good pricing on the 223 POF's. I also like their lower much better than RRA.

.

Just an option. I personally am saving for the pof 308 SPR setup. that will cost a pretty penny but in the end, i think it will be worth hit.

There's also the option of an robarms XCR if you want piston. I've shot an xcr and it is awesome. almost no recoil and the best part, no buffer tube so you can go folding stock. I know you are in Cali so you would have to put on a long muzzle break or fake can.

here's a picture of the one I shot. This is my little brother shooting it lefty.
