I love the wolf grey. I just ordered a bottle of it a couple days ago. I can't wait to get it on the xd.

Man! That's a duracoat job that only a father would do for his son!

That looks nice!

I am waiting because the Duracoat makers told me that they are coming out with an OD green that is a dead match for the XD frame in a month or so. I will be coating my slide to match the frame on my XD-40 Service.

How durable is this coating? It seems to take quite a bit of abuse.

the coating on my XD frame has held up well, the slide reciprocating back and forth hasnt even scuffed the finish where it comes in contact with the frame.
here is and assembled pic. oops this is htown using my dads laptop

I think it would look even better if you painted the pistol grip and stock and pink.

By the way, your pics aren't helping with my patience on waiting for my bottle of wolf grey to get here.

Thats the best finish you can get on an AR in the world because it was applied by the best, your father.. Keep that rifle for the rest of your life then pass it down.

this rifle is never leaving my possession until my son (whenever that happens) is old enough and responsible enough to handle it. He is also going to be handed down my XD-9 the first pistol i ever purchased. thanks dad looks great.
