It seems like things are actually getting worse!

I thought availability and websites were getting hit hard in the past weeks but it seems like between this weekend and today almost every site I normally go to with AR-related items is either entirely down or so slow they are barely usable! I thought with basically nothing in stock anywhere we were coming out of the worst of the insanity and instead it seems like it is actually getting even worse than it was! This is maybe the craziest scramble I have ever seen in my lifetime and it doesn't look to be slowing down at all.

I find it impossible to think of the sheer numbers and volumes we're talking about here and how much demand there will be for ammo if/when it ever even becomes available again.

Prices on gun broker have started to come down some in the last week. I don't expect things to go back to normal quickly, but they are heading that way.

I'll just be happy when I can start buying reload supply again so me and some friends can go out shooting again.

I suspect this trend will continue until we get the finial verdict of the OBumstead gun ban laws. This isn't going to be ending any time soon my fellow gun owners.

I thought that was the direction we were headed too but seriously every AR-related site I've gone to today has been down or completely crushed. I spoke with one of the owners of one site because from the errors I could tell his site was not completely set up correctly and I thought I'd offer him some free help since no doubt they were never expecting anything like this and he said this weekend/today have spiked so hard that their hosting company called them to tell them they were going to have to be moved to a different server that could handle far more traffic and bandwidth (and cost more). I feel for everyone involved and I can't wait for this to start to come back to even sorta normal.

It's going to get worse before it gets better. All you can do is wait out the storm. I still can't believe so many people didn't see this coming... I did all of my "panic buying" months ago, and paid normal prices.

Yes, was talking to the manager of a local lgs today (where I had a couple of guns consigned on GB) about that very same subject. It looks like prices have peaked and are starting to turn. I noticed a couple of AR's for example that closed at roughly the same price as they were sold retail just a few weeks ago. Probably someone looking to make a quick turn, but is now simply out the 20% consignment fee. Fortunately though I timed my sale just right and made a killing.

Thankfully, me and a like minded coworker have had a few year long game of trying to out do each other on buying stuff. He bought a daniel defense AR, I went out and bought two. I bought two xdms, he went out and bought four.
Right around election time, I went for 9mm ammo, he went for 5.56. We have an agreement to trade some if it comes down to it. We should both be set to get through this.
