I did a fair amount of stockpiling last year but it was hard to convince the wife (and my friends) that it made sense back then. Now my wife doesnt argue with me when I pick up bullets here and there....and my buddies arent laughing anymore because they are screwed.

I showed the wife the price for pmags on gunbroker the week before christmas, then pointed out the cost on the receipt from when I bought them in October. I figure I'm golden to buy whatever I want this year.

Will agree... it is nuts, and not getting better.

Aimsurplus.com had 5.56 Wolf available...... as soon as that news came out, the "predators" pounced, the site basically shut down.... and the Wolf was sold out in a few minutes. Crazy.

I'll give them credit for not jacking up their prices to crazy, sky-high amounts..... I think it was 5.99 or something like that for a 20 rnd box.

Between no 5.56/.223 ammo, no AR style rifles.... and not even any .22lr....... it is definitely keeping the manufacturers busy.

Whatever "Zero's" plans are, he is doing a great job of salesman / arming the US population. Maybe that was his plan to fix the economy? Make the weapons manufacturers have to hire all the unemployed??

Yeah, I got a few raised eyebrows from the wife late 2011 and early last year when I was buying ammo like a madman. Now she gets it.
