I don't own an assault rifle

but to answer your question.. I'm simply going to answer with another question. And if it does, then yes it can hurt someone.

OK, it's safe. The shoulder thingy goes in and out, not up....

Oh crap. I installed a thingy that goes in and out. The place that I got out from would only sell it with a rifle stock. This way it wasn't considered an EBR. I think a boating accident could be in my future.
