Cabellas--No more AR sales???

With the way they are flying off the shelves I can see Cabela's not wanting to place orders for individuals. It could be months before the gun ships and who knows what the laws would be so it looks to me they are taking a first come first serve basis.

Yea and a WalMart employee told me in December that Nebraska banned the sales of them until the first of the year and that Walmart corporate would no longer sell them. Both accounts totally false. MGMT at box stores will tell employees anything. And most of the general public will believe them.

I think the CT disclaimer has been there. There are no cabelas in NJ, NY, MA, CA so CT is really the only state with an AWB and a Cabelas. They probably don't want to deal with having compliant rifles for just 1 store.

I have seen 4 of these crap threads in the last 12 hours. Seriously if you have guaranteed sales within 20 minutes of hitting the floor, why would you take orders.

If your glock and have the next 30k mags you produce spoken for, and you produce 5k a month, you stop taking orders, why pay someone to take an order when you are guaranteed sales for the next 12 months, to dealers so you don't have to employ individual shipping/sales people.

Stop acting like a bunch of emotional college students like hippies during vietnam who have no idea what si going on and just repeat crap all day long.

Never said it was true...Just passing info along. Though some of you guys with your superior knowledge might know something...Hell every other big chain store is pulling AR's off the shelf. Bass Pro seems to be the only one that hasn't so far...

My LGS isn't taking order for AR's or most pistols either.

The manufactures are backed up with orders which means the distributors don't know when guns are coming in to them. When the distributor get an AR or high demand pistol they aren't even putting them in their computer for inventory. They are calling the stores and telling them "This is what I have do you want it?" If the store owner doesn't say YES right on the spot they hang up and call the next store in line.

You might be waiting for an AR a long time. People should have seen this comming a long time ago and already have one.
