AR Purchase...did I do good? (pics)

Well, a friend of my cousin sold me a Windham Weapondry AR15 yesterday, like new in box with only 200 rds through it for $950. It has an all metal removeable carry handle with removeable rail on top. I know that the prices of ARs are going through the roof. I looked up this particular AR and it seems to have a good reputation and built really well. It looks like the MSRP is a little over $1000. I dont think AR prices will ever drop, so I thought I better get it while I could.

Any thoughts/feedback greatly appreciated.

Thanks

P.S. I ordered a total magpul kit including an FDE stock, FDE handuard, FDE trigger guard, FDE angled foregrip, FDE MBUS Gen2 Rear site, FDE MOE Grip. ~ $200 shipped

Nice! Looks like it was a decent price as well. Wish I had picked one up before this mess all started

Good work, but why would you want a rail on a removable carry handle?

You did pretty good on that. Nice rifle. Keep us updated with pics when you get the new furniture on it.

Which, in our current political climate, finding any AR that isn't priced 5000% over retail is a good find. Well, actually, finding any AR period is an accomplishment...

at this point and time i think anything in the three-digit price range is a good deal.

I wandered the same thing, I have seen people mount a scope on top of it, but it looks kind of funny for my tastes. Im going to remove it and replace with a MBUS Gen2 Rear sight.

Pis coming in a week or so when it is all furnitured up

Thanks for all the replies/comments

Very nice find. I am kicking myself so bad right now. My local shop was selling that exact riffle, w/o the top rail, for $750 a month ago. Prices are now $1000, but you'll never find one available.
