Don't own a DD myself, have shot a couple & liked them. Can't really give you a bunch of pro's nor con's. I will say anyone that I've ment that owns one really likes it. Have not heard nor read anything bad that I can recall.

Some that own them & know more about them than I will chime in, I'm sure!

Pro you can throw it out of a helicopter.

Get the Aimpoint micro T1. Saves weight and those things are tough as nails.

Yeah, they are the only company I know that has posted several videos of running their DDM4's through extreme torture tests to get the rifle to fail which included throwing it out of a helicopter. That speaks volumes if you ask me...

Outstanding stuff. No cons. Good solid quality rifle.

I saw the torture tests, but who is to say that most ARs wouldn't have fared similarly. The real proof is how they hold up over thousands of cycles and the materials and quality of the parts used combined with their assembly process determines this. Daniel Defense does it right for a relatively fair price. I build my own and work on others', but have used
The DD CHF barrels and have nothing but great things to say about them.

I'm a little partial to the fact that they're a Georgia company (lived there for many years) and that one of my best buddies is in the commercial that they shot at T1G, but you'll be hard pressed to find people saying bad things about DD. My only concern is that as their sales volume grows their attention to detail and quality keeps up. At least for now, it's good stuff.
