Bass Pro AR offerings

Wandered into my local Bass Pro Shop today and they now have a full aisle dedicated to AR accessories, including a pretty big Magpul offering. Everything listed on their website was represented in the store, and the gun counter manager tells me they are expanding their in-store line-up.

They also had the basic CMMG 22lr kit, BlackHawk items and assorted Tapco add-ons.

Pricing on everything except magazines seemed decent. Magazines are, of course, still marked up quite heavily.

Just an FYI to anyone else that has a Bass Pro semi-local but maybe not a gun shop that keeps a lot of aftermarket AR parts on hand.

My local Cabelas, we don't have Bass Pro up here, has been expending and even advertising their "Tactical" gear. Pricing is pretty consistent with Cabelas; nothing lower than MSRP. Lots of Blackhawk, Tapco and MagPul MOE gear.

There are a lot better places online to buy from than either one of those stores for the value!

Yep, seems like everyone's catching up with the current trends and trying to cash in.

Buying local keeps someone living local from becoming a bum and sucking down my paycheck in the form of taxes even more than it already does.

If I can buy local for the same price or even slightly over what I can find with shipping online, I make every effort to do so.

Of course, before that can happen, a store front has to carry what I want, and before they'll do that, they have to witness demand, which they do by measuring sales on the entry level stuff.

I don't see being able to handle, try, and purchase locally as anything other than a good thing.

I am lucky that we have an awesome store/ indoor range that is reasonably priced and the staff is amazing. They are more than willing to open packaging and let you play with stuff before you buy. If they don't have it, usually they can get me what I need. I have very little need to go to Cabela's anymore.

Hmm. I usually don't go in Bass Pro very often, I may have to go see if ours has added anything like this.

That's awesome, just remember, if they don't get business, places like that go away.

That stinks. Pricing around here is decent, except for mags. Might help that we have frequent gun shows just a couple blocks away from bass pro.
