I have a SW M&P15 sport. I do not make a lot of money and this will be both my close quarter zombie gun, but also my coyote hunting rifle. is there any good scope/tacticle red dot 2in1 system that is out there and affordable??

I have been looking for about 6 months now and can not find anything!! Any suggestions??

Look to a 1-4 power scope with a lit reticle. That should cover both uses fairly well. What price range do you consider "affordable"?

Red face

I am looking for a scope that will take out a coyote at 200yds reliably as I will be hunting in a farming community. My shots need to go where I aim. But I am also looking for a red dot type scope to use in close quarters if I ever need to.

I got my M&P on sale for $679 before tax from Gander Mountain right after Xmas. So I could justify up to $300 for a 2in1 system. Thoughts??

I have not seen a 2in1 in your price range. Not saying they don't make them just haven't seen any. You could always get a scope & put a red dot on a 45degree offset mount/rail..

Saw a Burris MTAC 1-4 power illuminated reticle on Gunbroker.com for $350. I know it's $50 more than your budget, but it's a solid scope and has a red dot right in the middle of the reticle...similar to a Eotech and aimpoint. If you did some searching, you might be able to find a better price than that. That's just the first scope that popped into mind. There are lots of other possibilities.

take a look at the Millett® DMS-1 1-4x Optic; they’re a fast acquisitioning optic; and I like the simplicity of the donut-reticle … it makes for a great ‘Point & Shoot’ ... I had mine on a 500 yard range up in Machias, WA. back in February, on the OA® ML-2 ... and it did well.

you aren't going to buy what your looking for for less then 600 bucks (aimpoint with flip magnfier) or an ior pitbull ... but the 4moa dot of that is kinda big, I know, I have one.

nikon 223 1-4 variable scop is your best option IMO for a low price. Can't use it as a hammer, but you don't need that. they can be had cheaper on other sites or through walmart but to see them M-223 - Riflescopes | Nikon Hunting

I'm gonna have to call BS on this. You can get the Leupold VX-R in a 1.25-4 with your choice of several different reticles for less than $500. Since he's beginning his AR quest, I doubt he'd notice the difference between a true 1x and a 1.25x unless he compared them side by side.
